My kids will grow up watching Disney
I’m not saying this in reference to the kids who grow up without having seen a Disney movie (Like my little brother) nor am I espousing Disney as a perfect cinematographic entity. I readily admit that there is, within Disney movies, a sometimes partial sometimes complete misogynistic expression that I don’t wholeheartedly approve of and if I have daughters I won’t encourage them...

There's nothing wrong with sex, people.
strengthissexy: - Having sex every day. - Saving sex for your wedding night. - Never having sex. - Having sex with different people. - Having sex with one person. - Having sex with a person of your same gender. - Loving sex. - Hating sex. - Being loud. - Being quiet. The only thing wrong with sex? When it’s not consensual. Because that’s not sex. That’s rape.

2 Chapters In
I’m 2 chapters into The Long Walk by Richard Bachman (aka Stephen King) and it makes me profoundly sad and uncomfortable. Stephen King is an extraordinary author I think, capable of painting beautiful pictures in the mind and truly able to tell a story as if you’re sitting with him. His stories, however, tend to be gruesome and painful and make you wonder about the deepest parts of...

Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they’re not shining Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying  She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day Yeah, I know, I know, when I compliment her she won’t believe me And it’s so, it’s so, sad to think that she don’t see what I see But every time she asks me do I look ok, I say When I...

Take political failure and part time JC Penny catalog model Rick Perry for example. In his recent ad (which I’ll only link to via Cracked’s superior version), the Texas Governor comes down hard on the gay community, citing their right to serve openly in the military as something wrong with our country. A desperate ad from a weak candidate frantically clawing at the Evangelical vote. ...

tumblr-funniest: YOU:  Featured at Tumblr’s Funniest Posts I was reading this tumblr and this was on page 8 or so, and while I was chuckling while reading, when I got to this post, I looked exactly like this guy, hand positions, posture, face. I had more hair though.

Hey! I’m 18! I’m 18! This is good! This means that absolutely miserable 17th year of life is over! This means that that year that I made all the nasty awful miserable life mistakes is finished. That means it’s going to be good now. I just remembered this. And why I was so excited to turn 18. Now I’m excited again.

I had a blast at senior sunset tonight. I don’t know why I don’t hang out with groups of friends more often. It’s a little sad. I can’t wait for college though, because then I won’t have a choice.

Advice A La Dan Savage
Here’s an ultravanilla one for you: It’s been about eight months since I was dumped, and every day I still think about the girl who broke my heart. I don’t speak to her and don’t want to. How do you get over a breakup? Tired Of Her Sometimes a cliché is all I’ve got: Time heals all wounds—time and, of course, fucking other people. Did you know that every ounce of...

Le bonheur, mmmm, s'il vous plait
I just figured it out. Thank you Haley. I was thinking today what’s the point of learning French? Or any language? Why go to college for foreign language when the world is trying so hard to learn my language? And then I watched Haley’s video and thought, boy she’s good. But why is she learning guitar? Everyone knows guitar, and there’s a thousand people as good as her. But...
